What is the most common problem you see clients facing?
The most common problem I see clients facing is inadequate cybersecurity awareness, which often leads to phishing attacks, weak passwords, and unsafe online practices. Another frequent challenge is outdated equipment, as technology evolves so quickly that hardware and software can become obsolete before clients are ready to replace them, leading to compatibility and performance issues.
What experience do you have in your field?
I have gained hands-on experience across various areas of IT, including Helpdesk support, Identity and Access Management, antivirus administration, networking, asset management, cloud computing, and running phishing awareness campaigns.
What do you do outside of work?
Maintaining good health and wellbeing is close to my heart, and I am a keen cyclist and sea-swimmer in my spare time. I also enjoy spending time with my family, enjoying the natural environment in my local area and beyond.
Why did you choose a career in IT?
I chose a career in IT because I’ve always admired how technology enriches our lives, making everyday tasks easier, more efficient, and more connected. I want to be part of creating and supporting solutions that improve how people live and work.
What is your favourite piece of technology and why?
I’d say firewalls are my favourite technology. They’re essential for keeping networks secure, and I really enjoy the challenge of creating rules that can keep up with the constantly evolving cyber threats.
Do you have any specialisms that could benefit clients?
I have studied infrastructure and cybersecurity, which enables me to help clients by designing secure systems and implementing effective protection measures against evolving cyber threats.
